ETON AND THE NOBEL MUSEUM

In April of 2001, the King of Sweden pressed the start button on an Eton System and opened an exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize and the more than 700 Nobel Laureates. The exhibition stimulates and challenges the visitor, emphasizing the importance of creativity and the relationship between the individual and the environment.

The Nobel museum wanted a display system to carry flags, bearing photos of Nobel Laureates, as they circle one by one, enter a display area, then line up for another cycle. Housed in the historic Old Stockholm Stock Exchange, the physical limitations presented quite a challenge and other solutions considered had failed.

Working under enormous time pressure, the Eton team responded with true creativity and developed a system ideally adapted to the task says Olov Amelin, producer of the exhibition. We were extremely pleased with Eton´s solution and challenged them to develop another display system based on the same concept, but that can adapt to the various environments the system will face in facilities in Asia, North America, and Europe.

Eton is proud to join the Nobel museum on its world tour.
